USDA Monthly Report – December 2025

📊 Global Production Cuts, Stock Adjustments and Historic Low Mill Use in the U.S.

The USDA’s December 2025 report updates key indicators of the global cotton market.

World production was reduced by 300 thousand bales, now estimated at 119.8 million, driven mainly by smaller harvests in Mali and other West African countries.

In the United States, mill use is projected at just 1.6 million bales, marking the lowest level in nearly 150 years.

Global ending stocks increased slightly to 76.0 million bales, supported by higher inventories in the U.S. and Brazil, offsetting decreases in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Mali.
