Laferlins trades and provides the service of monitoring its customers’ contracts of cotton, sugar, ethanol, and fuel.
Cotton is a product of great importance for global agriculture, not only for its use in the textile industry, but also in other segments, such as: oils, animal feed and hygiene products for both hospital and household use, among other things.
The cotton market is very dynamic and strongly influenced by the foreign market, and it is in this context that Laferlins’ work stands out. Our focus is to provide fair and safe deals for farmers, local traders, international trading companies, cooperatives, and textile industries while maintaining the competitiveness of the Brazilian product.
Over the years, Brazil has become an important player in the international market, as it is the 4th largest producer and 2nd largest exporter in the world. In addition, In addition, 75% of our cotton is certified by the ABR (Algodão Brasileiro Responsável), a program that certifies that the entire production process follows sustainable practices in both social and environmental contexts.
Based on its experience and the structure acquired in the commercialization of other commodities, in 2000 Laferlins created the department of sugar, ethanol, and other fuels, aiming to meet a latent demand in the Northeast region of Brazil for commercialization services of these products in the domestic and foreign markets. Over time, as a result of the expansion of regional distributors, as well as the acquisitions made by companies in the Center-South of Northeastern groups of producers, we extended our operations to other states in Brazil.
Laferlins assists with the sale of these commodities through all stages: from closing the deal to delivery of the product and final payment.
We currently work with the most important groups of producers in the Brazilian sugar and ethanol sector, fuel distributors, industries, wholesalers and national and international trading companies.
