Laferlins was founded in 1956 by Mr. Lacordaire Ferreira Lins. The Company’s name comes from the first syllables of his name. The aim of the enterprise was to dedicate itself to the brokerage of cotton produced in the Northeast Brazil to the entire Brazilian textile sector.

The Company grew and developed its business in the domestic market through offices located in the cities of Recife and Fortaleza. It is from the ports of these cities that Laferlins began exporting cotton from the Northeast of Brazil.

From the 1990’s onwards, Laferlins started bringing in professionals from across the market to be part of the business.
